Maui Turtle Checking the Surf I Color:White this low-key turtle was comfortableI discovered this majestic sea turtle alternately taking a snooze and checking the surf at Baby Spreckels Beach on the North Shore of Maui. Turtles like this protected beach for the same reasons people do; the lagoon is protected from the surf and there is a broad sandy beach perfect for snoozing. Sea turtles can live to be 80 to 100 or more.
