ION Resin Filters inline Granular Carbon Filters (GAC) -ION Filters contain specialised resin to provide ion exchange and improve water hardness, softening water and reducing staining, spotting, calcium build up and improving detergents so you need to use less! This filter would be situated after a PP Sediment Filter and will be last in line usually. However, for some people the taste of the water can be "soapy" and not very pleasant. Fitting a carbon block filter after the resin filter can help with this
