This sterling silver brooch features marcasite gemstones set into the spine of a lizard. Marcasite gemstones catch the light, giving a diamond effect. Throughout the ages it has been mistaken for gold and it was also known as Fools Gold. The brooch is in excellent antique condition, measuring 5. 5cm 2. 4" in length and 2cm 0. 7".
